We are so excited to share these photos from Saisha and Kyle’s wedding at Sunset Key ! Saisha and Kyle met back in Middle School, but didn’t officially start dating until they were in High School. Saisha said that she knew Kyle was the one early on because they would spend hours upon hours laughing at the silliest things, one of which was sitting in his parents driveway as teenagers rolling a ball back and forth to one another while enjoying each other’s company.
Kyle was thoughtful enough to incorporate this into their engagement and Saisha never saw it coming! They went on a trip to Wisconsin to his Grandfather’s cottage and Kyle asked her if she remembered how much they laughed as teenagers doing something so simple as rolling a ball between them on the ground. He asked her if she wanted to roll a ball between them to relive old times, and Saisha agreed, but had no idea what it would lead to!! She assumed it was a short lived game, because the ball deflated pretty quickly (little did she know it was because he cut the ball to put her engagment ring in!!) and she walked away and said “it’s ok Babe.” Kyle wasn’t about to let his plans get derailed, so he grabbed the ball as he struggled to get the ring out of the ball while Saisha was walking away. But he stopped her dead in her tracks when she looked backed and saw him down on one knee asking for her hand in marriage!! Way to go Kyle! Way to incorporate memories from when the two of you fell in love back in High School! Bonus points for you <3
When it came time to make plans for their wedding celebration, Kyle and Saisha knew Key West would be the location!! They had visited the Keys when they were younger with Kyle’s family and witnessed a wedding on the beach and knew they wanted the same! So there wasn’t much discussion on location and they began planning their dream wedding at sunset key.
Saisha and Kyle chose to have their ceremony at Sunset Key Cottages, and the location did not disappoint!! Sunset Key provides the perfect mix of tropical vibes mixed in with a “Keys Elegance” and seclusion for the busy hustle and bustle of Duval Street and Mallory Square. Karro Events and Floral did an amazing job of bringing Saisha’s wedding visions to life with her bouquet as well as her reception decor which was held at Margaritaville Resort and Marina Pier. I am such a huge fan of of the soft, classic colors Saisha incorporated into her bouquet.
One of my favorite things about this wedding at sunset key is that Saisha and Kyle brought wedding photos from both of their parents wedding days to take pictures with as a way to celebrate their parent’s commitment to marriage, as well as setting a goal to have a marriage long last as theirs!! It was really a special moment during the day!!
Saisah and Kyle, we are so happy to have documented your wedding day and to have been witness to all your special moments of the day!! Thank you again for entrusting us to capture these images, we hope you will treasure them for the years to come!!
